The worldwide average for a man’s member dances around 5.1 to 5.5 inches. While some men can become hung up on their size, this doesn’t necessarily predict fertility or satisfaction with sexual partners.
It is essential to recognize that penis size does not determine self-worth or masculinity and to challenge societal norms and expectations that promote toxic objectification of male body parts.
Jonah Falcon
Jonah Falcon is the self-proclaimed holder of the world’s biggest penis. His colossal member is 13.5 inches long when erect and eight inches wide when flaccid. His massive phallus first made headlines in 1999. Since then, he’s been featured in numerous documentaries and has starred on TV shows such as Private Dicks. He’s also dated porn stars, celebrities, and Oscar winners. Falcon admits that his size can have its downsides, however. He once caused a security alert at an airport after security noticed something protruding from his trousers.
The American actor grew up wanting to be an actor, and he attended acting workshops and auditioned for various roles. He eventually appeared as an extra on several popular television shows, including Melrose Place and The Sopranos. He even had an uncredited role in the 2001 movie A Beautiful Mind as a mental patient.
In 2018, he became embroiled in a dispute with another man who claimed to have the world’s largest penis. Roberto Esquivel Cabrera’s genitals are reportedly 19 inches long when erect, but according to a medical examination, his phallus is only six inches taller than Falcon’s. This is because he has stretched his foreskin by using weights. However, Jonah defends his world record claim. He says that his phallus is “naturally” huge and that Cabrera’s phallus is only larger because he stretched it.
Roberto Esquivel Cabrera
In 2015, a Mexican man named Roberto Esquivel Cabrera made headlines when he claimed to have the world’s largest penis. He said that his member was 18.9 inches long and hung down past his knees. He said that he had to keep his massive appendage covered up at all times due to pain and infections. He also complained that women were too frightened to have sex with him and that his huge member kept him from getting a job. He lives a secluded life in Saltillo, Mexico and survives on social assistance.
Doctors have suggested that he get reduction surgery but the macho man refuses. He says that he will never have his penis cut down, even though he has to wear a condom at all times. In Latin culture, bigger penises are considered more macho.
Cabrera first became famous for his monstrous manhood after a video of him measuring it went viral. He claims that his manhood is so big that it causes him to get urinary tract infections regularly. He has to keep his member covered up at all times because he cannot sit or stand for too long. He has also been forced to register as disabled because his massive manhood prevents him from working. Doubts have been cast on his claims by the official record holder, Jonah Falcon, who said that he stretches his member with weights and that it is normal underneath.
Armadillo
Armadillos have an impressive array of traits that make them hardy in the wild. Males, for example, have one of the largest penises relative to body size of any mammal and females are able to delay implantation of their eggs until conditions such as weather or food supply are better.
For these reasons, it’s not surprising that a nine-banded armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus) can produce an erection that measures more than six inches. It is also the most erect of all mammalian species and, as a result, it has the stiffest penis in the animal kingdom.
The armadillo’s amazingly long penis has helped it cope with the challenges of coupling with a rotund, heavily armoured female. Its erectness has also enabled the male to circumnavigate the female’s shell, locate her genital area under her tail, and then mount her.
But a penis’s stiffness is not only due to the amount of blood that passes through it, as researchers have recently discovered. It is also because of the way in which collagen fibres are arranged in the tunica albuginea, the thin layer that surrounds a penis’s erectile tissue, or corpus cavernosum. Research published in the Journal of Morphology by Diane Kelly1 found that the fibres are arranged not helically, but orthogonally to the penis’s long axis. This allows the penis to expand remarkably during erectopusia and then, when erection is dissipating, the collagen fibres collapse into pleats.
Barnacle
Whether they’re practical, ingenious or just plain strange, penises have made their way onto animals all over the world. There’s the millipede, for instance, that gets it on with a pair of legs located on its seventh body segment, or a sea slug that blindly stabs a mate (like a bad fencer) to inject sperm. But the biggest penis in the animal kingdom belongs to a sessile crustacean known as a barnacle. According to KQED’s Deep Look YouTube channel, these hermaphrodites boast phallus that are eight times longer than their bodies, enabling them to find and fertilize receptive neighbors in the tumult of rough ocean waves.
But that’s not all. Studies of barnacles show that these creatures display remarkable phenotypic plasticity, meaning they can change the shape and size of their penises depending on their environment. When scientists transplanted barnacles from rocky intertidal areas with high wave activity to calmer waters, the critters developed shorter and thinner penises that better aligned with current conditions. This suggests that other factors besides female choice, sexual conflict and male-male competition can play important roles in genital design.
